For Doug the Pug Therapy Dog, it was all about positive mental health this week - and the 2018 Mental Health Awareness Week was all about managing stress.

Being a school dog, Doug the Pug Therapy Dog knows that stress is a real barrier to learning.

We all know how flummoxed we can get when we’re in a tiz about things. And stress stops our brains from processing the information we need to work things out, and it stops us from remembering things for recall.

These are essential tools for everyone’s every day life. It doesn’t matter whether you’re big or small, old or young, anyone can suffer from anxiety and stress.

Everyone we meet is fighting a battle we know nothing about, so Doug the Pug Therapy Dog would like to say, “Be kind and gentle with yourselves friends and pay it forward so that you can be gentle and kind to others too!”.
